Obamacare Head fake

Folks,

We The People have been duped….big time!
We have been hornswoggled, misled, deceived, robbed, and fooled.
The Democrats, their complicit Liberal Media and yes, the incompetence of the Republicans have all resulted in the scam of our nation’s lifetime……..Obamacare. Additionally, the last bastion of defense has been penetrated and destroyed when Chief Justice Roberts performed a double-think, backward flip, second guessing maneuver that no one can explain, except to link it up as the caboose on the train called the Perfect Storm.

A quick review of this healthcare disaster.
It began with a 2900 page bill that was never properly debated. Republicans were locked out of mid-night meetings and, although the Democrat Party Line was to say that the Republicans had input, the fact was they had minimal input and almost all of their ideas were disregarded, because the Democrats, at the time, held ALL the cards with a majority in the House and in the Senate. Obama himself stated that “Hey, we won” and Pelosi said, “Elections have consequences”.

The next step was the unexpected election of (Liberal) Republican Scott Brown in Massachusetts. Brown won the seat vacated by Ted Kennedy’s death. This was interpreted by most political pundits as resounding evidence that the people wanted to give the Republicans enough votes to stop Obamacare. Scott Brown campaigned on a promise to vote against Obamacare….and he did.

However, the Democrats weren’t out of schemes yet. The Scott Brown vote caused them some concern, so they went after several other Democrats that were voting with the Republicans and they converted them through the Nebraska Corn Husker bribe and the Louisiana Purchase bribe. These actions actually bought the votes of Nebraska Senator Nelson and Louisiana Senator Mary Landrieu. They both switched their votes from nay to yay.

Now the Democrats almost had the ball over the goal line but the Republicans were hanging tough. After all the secret deals, bribes, clandestine meetings, artificial deadlines, the Dems still did NOT have enough votes to get this disastrous legislation over the goal line. So, they changed the rules and invoked the Nuclear Option which allowed only 51 votes to win the day rather than the standard 60 votes normally required for major legislation like this healthcare bill.

The only step remaining for the Republicans was to take it to the Supreme Court as an unconstitutional bill. Last week Chief Justice Roberts dashed that final defense line with his unexpected Benedict Arnold move.

What next? Well, now these wonderful politicians in Washington and the media and all the pundits that feed off this lunacy want us to get excited about the next election as the final, final opportunity to stop Obamacare. They have set up another chapter of the perils of Pauline. Oil Can Harry has tied Penelope Pureheart to the railroad tracks and a train is coming. What can we do to save the day???????????

Folks, these people are putzin’ with us. They are yankin’ our chains. They are screwin’ with our heads!!!! Why do I say that? Let’s drop back to the beginning and examine the facts.

This entire issue of healthcare was re-initiated by the entitlement minded Democrats when Obama took office. For decades, the Dems have been trying to add this healthcare entitlement to their list of Social security, Medicare, Medicaid, Food Stamps, SSI, Free Community Feeds, school lunches and dinners, etc. etc.  The Dems entire product line is comprised of free stuff for everyone, paid for by the government, who has no money, and who much take money from the rich, so the government can give-a-way stuff to people and create dependencies on government. This process strengthens unions and Community Groups and delivers more dependents to the polls to demand more government, bigger government and more free stuff. The fact that this same government posits that our entitlement spending is unsustainable has no bearing on their actions. The fact that Europe is a model that we are following and Europe is going bankrupt makes no difference. This entire concept is illogical and economic suicide but it’s a nice thing for the people (tongue in cheek).

The Key Point in this current debate remains unquestioned and unanswered. The Key Point has been swept under the rug by the Dems and it has apparently eluded the Republicans. Can it be that the RNC, and the Republican pundits and all the Republican Congressmen and Senators have missed the key point? What Key Point am I talking about? The facts!

The Democrats stated that the federal Government needed to take over national healthcare because it was too expensive; unsustainable; the trajectory was going to bankrupt us. That was/is true. So the goal should have been to improve the process and make it more efficient. The facts are that there are lots of costly inefficiencies in the system and lots of costly fraud. That would be a good place to start. However, let me emphasize……the last place to start would be to support a government takeover of the United States Healthcare System. Why? BECAUSE THE GOVERNMENT HAS PROVEN TO BE THE WORST MANAGER OF ANYTHING SINCE IT BEGAN! Reference Social Security System; Medicare; Medicaid; Amtrak; Post-Office; EPA; Department of Energy; Department of Education; etc. etc.

Now, as this healthcare debate continued in early 2009 and 2010, Obama and his House and Senate introduced Mission Creep. The objective expanded from cost cutting and reversing the spending trajectory to Universal Coverage. Universal Coverage is a nice touchy feely thing and its falls right into the Dems wheel house. The Dems immediately implemented their Three Card Monty game and began to shuffle the deck rapidly and cleverly. First the demagogues hit the streets and engaged the State Run Media, flooding the airways with how insensitive the Republicans were and how they were willing to allow the poor, seniors, babies, children, and every other minority or special interest group (99%ers) to die in the streets because they couldn’t afford healthcare like the rich people can.

Then the Democrats cleverly picked out the parts of our healthcare system that absolutely and irrefutable required fixing. These items included Pre-existing Conditions, Caps on Catastrophic Coverage. They then stretched things a bit by expanding the “Must Fix” list to include “Things that I would like” which was designed to win over public opinion from all those Americans who get free stuff from the overgrown Federal Government. Those additional freebies included allowing children to stay on their parents insurance until 26 years old. Why? Well, with the recession we are in there are lots of kids who graduate college and can’t find a job. (Note: this problem would not exist if the Federal Government had done something about the longest Recession in our history).

It’s important to note that The Federal Government front loaded this Obamacare bill with these entitlements, mentioned above, and they placed all of the taxes, penalties, government expansion and bureaucratic expenses in the post 2013 years….AFTER THE 2012 ELECTION. Does this cast any suspicion over this Obamacare bill? Not on the 6 O’clock news!

OK….now ley me bring you to The Key Point that I mentioned above. The Key Point that the Republicans, political pundits, news media, talk show hosts and everyone else has completely ignored is the UNIVERSAL COVERAGE issue. The Dems have stated that there are 30 million people who are uninsured. 30 million! One would think that after almost 3 years of debating, voting, arguing, demogoguing, we would have a complete breakdown and analysis of this number. But we don’t!

For example………..
- How many of these 30 million are illegal aliens?
 
-How many of these 30 million are the “Free Riders” that Jack Lew, Obama’s White House Chief Manager?

- How many of these 30 million are young people who can afford to buy health insurance but decline it because they believe they are invincible and they’d rather buy a new car?

-How many of these 30 million are people who had health insurance but lost it when they lost their job in this current, never-ending recession?

Now, it’s critically important to understand that The Republicans DID NOT force this conversation and DID NOT do their own research. Instead, they allowed the Democrats to play rope-a-dope with them and bang them from pillar to post without researching the facts and throwing a counter punch.

Let’s play what if…………..
What if there are some illegal aliens in the 30 million? I’ll bet there is! Should they be part of this equation? Should we be worrying about how to provide free healthcare to the world (when we are going broke) or should we fix our legal and illegal immigration problem, and then benefit by finding a reduction in the uninsured healthcare number? Such a logical sequence would reduce the 30 million to a lesser number.

What about those “Free Riders” that Jack Lew mentioned on Sunday’s Fox news show? When questioned by Chris Wallace, Jack Lew stated that the “Free Rides” are a big problem and it’s unfair that the rest of Americans need to carry them. That’s why the mandate is necessary because it forces everyone to carry their fair share of the cost. In his response, Jack Lew (I suspect unintentionally) stated that the Free Riders are 1% of the Universal Coverage problem. Well, if anyone would stop for a moment and get their calculator, 15 0f 30 million is 300,000.  

What if the number of young people who voluntarily refuse to buy health care insurance are subtracted from the total of 30 million? How many do they represent? Removing them from the total would further reduce the 30 million number. (Note: We still would need to come up with a solution to this segment of our populace that elects not to buy insurance, but first we need to understand what the 30 million represents because that’s how we’ll understand how serious our problem is).

Finally, how many of the 30 million without healthcare insurance are in such a position because of our putrid economy, that this president has done nothing to improve? If our unemployment rate was 4% (virtual zero) then how many uninsured would be subtracted for the 30 million?

Folks, all I’m saying is that the Democrats inflated the 30 million number so they could play touchy-feely and demagogue the argument and the Republicans are remiss because they allow the Dems to run amok and play loose with facts and figures and make a convincing case to the people who want more free stuff, as well as to the Independents who want to do the right thing, many of whom feel guilty that they are enjoying the American dream and so many others are not…according to the Democrats.

Also, what I’m saying is if the people in charge in Washington were to fix the fundamental problems, like unemployment and immigration, then the Universal Coverage number of 30 million would be substantially lower. Then, I believe, Universal Coverage  would not be such a political crisis/opportunity to be demogogued by the Democrats in their attempt to take over another 16% of our GDP, and to grow an already bloated, inefficient government, and to increase the power and reach of the Federal Government in our daily lives while reducing the freedoms and the power of our Capitalist, Free Enterprise system that has enabled us to succeed and lead the world for the last 235 years!!!!!!

Folks, we need to think more for ourselves. These Washington politicians and their friendly liberal media keep framing the arguments for us and there are very few legitimate folks who ask the right questions. If someone does ask the right questions, they are abused, ridiculed vilified and marginalized. Therefore, We The People, are usually directed to the argument that the politicians and the media have selected for us and we are distracted from the real issues. We need to be more intelligent. We need to use our critical thinking skills. We need to read between the lines. We need to realize that the news moderators do not always ask the questions that need to be asked. Some of them have an agenda. Others are actually paid supporters of some politician. We are being duped daily. The TV is a brain washing tool and Washington uses it very well. Polls are manipulated and quoted as fact. Facts are distorted and twisted. Numbers are calculated to deliver a desired result. Every day our freedom is being eroded a little bit more. These power mongers have us fighting each other. They have positioned us in opposite corners. Some of us are Republicans. Some of us are Democrats. Some support Obama…no matter what. Some support Romney………no matter what.

Folks, I’m telling you that the facts…if you open your eyes….indicate that our Federal Government is growing in size and in power and that our Constitution is being eroded and our States sovereign rights are being diminished. Our debt is growing and our entitlement programs are unsustainable. It is being framed as a battle between rich and poor but it is really a battle between big government and small government; between Socialism and capitalism. Obama and the democrats are big government. The Tea Party is small government. Please open your eyes. Small government is what made America what it is.

Throw the Bums out……..please!
